The Council to Prevent and Eliminate of Mexico City (Copred, by its acronym in Spanish) published in 2024 the annual report of acts, policies, programs, and campaigns that Mexico City’s public entities carried out to assure LGBTIQ+ rights and liberties during 2023 as a friendly city with LGBTIQ+ people.
Since 2016, Copred has coordinated the compilation of data from distinct institutions to design this report and document improvement in the battle against structural discrimination against individuals of sexual and gender diversity in Mexico City.
It should be noted that, as part of the progress made so far, the number of institutions that report actions for the preparation of annual reports has been increasing year after year, as follows: 29 institutions in 2016, 21 in 2017, 48 in 2018, 58 in 2019, 57 in 2020, 61 in 2021, 62 in 2022 and 53 in 2023.
