On 19th of December 2023, the Senate of Berlin adopted the new LGBTIQ+ Action Plan. With this third updated and expanded edition of the LGBTIQ+ Action Plan, the Senate is implementing an important milestone for the rainbow capital Berlin. The action plan is based on an intensive participatory process involving representatives of the Berlin administration, Berlin districts and civil society. With a total of 340 single actions within eleven fields of action, Berlin is making an even clearer commitment to sexual and gender diversity. For the first time, the Berlin LGBTIQ+ Action Plan includes concrete measures at the interfaces of LGBTIQ+ and social status, racism in its various forms as well as Judaism/Jewish communities and anti-semitism.
