Several offices and departments of the state capital of Wiesbaden formed the city’s internal diversity group (AG Vielfalt). The member offices represent various diversity characteristics through their areas of work: ethnicity, gender, disability, age, etc.
The LGBT+ Coordination Office hosts the meetings which take place every 6-8 weeks. On the occasion of the German Diversity Day (28 May 2024), the group invited interested colleagues to the city hall. They presented their areas of activity, gave lectures and got in contact with colleagues. The diversity group also realised an online survey of all city administration employees regarding their experiences of discrimination. The aim of the survey is to identify necessary measures to reduce discrimination and to make the state capital of Wiesbaden a more attractive and diverse employer. The responses are still being analysed.
