To coincide with International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27, the city of Heidelberg presented the exhibition “Broken Connections Ravensbrück – The Paths of Women-Loving Women into Resistance and Deportation” in the foyer of Heidelberg City Hall from January 9 to February 9, 2024. Exhibition and programme were organized by the Institute for History and Ethics of Medicine at Heidelberg University and the LGBTIQ+ Coordination Office of the City of Heidelberg. In the same month, on January 23, 2024, a meeting of the Round Table on Sexual and Gender Diversity of the City of Heidelberg took place with a focus on “local LGBTIQ+ history and culture of remembrance”. The meeting brought together experts, researchers, activists, administrators and politicians. The exhibition and round table were successful measures for networking, presenting existing resources and expertise and developing ideas for further projects.
