The prestigious EuroGames took place in Vienna in July 2024. Organized by a couple of volunteers, who did a remarkable work, 4000 athletes came to visit Vienna and to participate at the various sport events and a very successful sports conference was hold, opened online by Austria’s president Alexander van der Bellen. The City of Vienna was a proud partner in supporting financially (both from LGBTIQ and sports funds), holding a reception for the international representatives and helping the organisers with finding locations (many of them belong to the City) and bureaucracy.
