In light of IDAHOT, we collaborated with the city of Roeselare and TIP (an organization for trans care) to organize a conference on how to provide more inclusive primary care for trans people. We defined primary care broadly, so participants included speech therapists, teachers, psychologists, student coaches, and more. For several attendees, this conference was their first exposure to the topic. The conference featured various sessions on themes such as “Coming Out (or Not?),” an intersectional approach to the coming-out process, support for parents with a transitioning child, support for trans and non-binary youth in schools, and a workshop on relationships and sexual experiences for trans people.
