Oldenburg
Policy
The council resolution “Oldenburg wants inclusion!” laid the foundation for diversity-sensitive approaches in all fields of action back in 2012. After 10 years, this resolution was renewed in April 2023.
The core of the resolution is the vision of a city society without exclusion and a place to live for everyone – regardless of age, origin and nationality, gender identity, religion and worldview, possible disabilities, social status or sexual orientation.
Goal
The continuation of Oldenburg’s inclusion process promotes the inclusive vision of a city worth living in for all people and contributes to the formation of a community of urban responsibility. In this context, the decision to join the Rainbow Cities Network was taken by the Oldenburg Council on 26.09.2022.
