For the first time, the Equality Mission of the City of Bordeaux organized, in partnership with UNESCO and the French-speaking EGIDES network, a masterclass dedicated to the fight against racism and discrimination, including LGBTphobia, on June 6, 2024.
This masterclass was also integrated into the Youth Forum of the Egides network which took place in Bordeaux from June 4 to 6, 2024, in the presence of around twenty young people from Quebec, Belgium and France.
220 people participated in the masterclass including 5 classes, from middle school to high school, welcomed all day.
In the morning, several speakers (historian, podcasters, athletes, community activists) took turns to explain the mechanisms of discrimination and inspire young people, through their journey in the fight against discrimination.
In the afternoon, associations and services led workshops with young people to get them thinking about concrete actions to fight discrimination.
