Following the landscape art piece “Floating Rainbow,” the Banqiao 435 Art Zone now unveils “Rainbow Universe: An Artistic Journey Beyond Gender Boundaries.” Resident artist FLEKSONE has created a 77-square-meter graffiti masterpiece on both walls and floors.
After months of effort, FLEKSONE completed a piece that blends the colors of the rainbow with cosmic elements, symbolizing diversity, inclusivity, and freedom of gender identities. The “Graffiti Flying Train” in the artwork heads toward the “Rainbow Universe.” From specific angles, the artwork offers a 3D visual effect. The Cultural Affairs Department at New Taipei City Government states that FLEKSONE’s work embodies the concept of “freedom.”
At the unveiling ceremony, Taiwan’s drag queen family “The House of Wind” performed, while the Friendly-to-All Co-Parenting Organization and the Taiwan Gender Equality Education Association hosted booths with interactive storytelling and educational games.
