Focus area 1 encompasses training for municipal employees, integrating knowledge of intersectional discrimination, as well as gender and sexual diversity, into systematic quality improvement efforts and the municipality’s governing documents.
The training will ensure equality in the municipality’s services, which will be tailored to accommodate individuals who do not conform with traditional gender and sexuality norms. The training includes sector-specific training measures as well as the development of various educational resources to increase competence at all levels of the municipality’s services and agencies.
The focus area is aimed at employees, leaders, HR employees and safety and employee representatives. The focus area also includes cooperation with government authorities, organisations and participation in international networks.
As an employer, the City of Oslo will promote greater inclusion by establishing a network for queer employees within the municipality.
